Imam Ali (a.s.) points to a truth worth sitting with: the child has a right on the father while the father, too, has a right on the child. the right of the father on the child is that the latter should obey the former in every matter save in committing sins against allah, the glorified one, while the right of the child on the father is that the latter should give the first a beautiful name, provide him with good training and teach him the quran.

Give one person today what is due to them — fully and without delay.
