Imam Ali (a.s.) points to a truth worth sitting with: do not be discouraged by ingrates from doing good deeds, for you may be thanked by those who do not benefit from your good deed and who still are grateful to you for it. you may obtain gratitude from a grateful person much more than what someone who hides it has wasted, "... and allah loves the doers of righteousness.".
